Production Optimisation

We understand performance and how to create and unlock significant value for our clients.

There are a number of potential causes for erosion within production systems:

  • There are a lack of production processes; existing processes are driven by individual functions. Production management is teamwork, before functional sophistication
  • Asset technical limits are not well understood and regularly challenged. They tend to be based on perceived history, not agreed data
  • Within the organisation, production accountabilities are overlapping and/or unclear
  • Production skills are not recognised, or managed
  • Opportunities and risks are not detailed enough to drive granular plans for us, our contractors or our partners
  • Expectations on 3rd parties and/ or partners are not well set – they assume a certain behaviour set
  • We invest millions in collecting data, we are not good at turning it into performance insight
  • Continuous improvement is not sustained unless driven top down and bottom up by the performance limits, not financial budgets

Production Management Framework

Define Technical Potential

  • Quantify maximum flowrate through each element of the production system
  • Develop choke models and validate with owners
  • Test and verify system constraints

Set Targets and Forecast

  • Agree assumptions (and identified ranges) and set targets
  • Agree forecast & key actions to deliver

Iterate with Integrated Activity Plans (IAP)

  • Ensure all key activities are reflected in the IAP
