We conducted an operational excellence assessment and then led an improvement project in their capital projects organisation, whose role was delivering multi-million, major capital and maintenance projects offshore.
The objectives of the assessment were:
To measure the excellence level of the organisation as defined in their operational manual
To capture improvement opportunities, prioritise and make recommendations for improvements
To Identify best practice which could then be shared across other areas of the organisation including lessons learned and for bench marking purposes
What We did:
The Assessment identified tangible improvement opportunities across 7 separate areas worth between $100m - $300m in potential savings per annum.
The business case and improvement project approved to deliver improvements in: value engineering, procurement processes, supplier management, technology deployment, contract negotiations and supplier review and rationalisation
The results:
The project delivered $200m of tangible savings during the 12 months of being implemented.
